You would have to fly into Ft Myers, I believe, and rent a car and drive 1.5 hours to get there, but the beaches are beautiful and the food is so good! We stayed at a friend's home when we went but the area is filled with homes that are rented year round.</p> <p>ETA: sorry, we flew into Pensacola and then drove. Panama City airport is closer but there were a bunch of us flying in from all over the country and we could only coordinate times at the Pensacola airport! Was a blast! DS slept well just like at home and we were able to cook dinners in and relax. However, we'd like to avoid the spring break scene &amp; tons of college students if possible. LO will be 9.5 months old-it's mid March. We can't get him a passport this quickly, so it has to be the U.S. and preferably east coast or south-west coast might be too expensive to get to.</p> <p>Ideas? I'd thought about checking out Key West, DH is worried it will be full of students. Last year we went to New Orleans, and it was freezing, boo. </p>
