@avivoca: same. We never used a high chair because I didn't want the clunk. It's not the trendiest but I love how easy it is to clean, the adjustable Heights and being able to strap to the the seat and seat back.

We have one similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Healthy-Care-Deluxe-Booster/dp/B00KA8I58G/ref=sr_1_7?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1415370289&sr=1-7&keywords=booster+seat

I really like it. I can just take it outside and hose it down once it gets too messy. It fits nicely on our wooden chairs, but I imagine it would fit well on your chairs since you can attach it to the back and under the seat.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I bought the OXO one at Home Goods. We haven't used it yet though. But I just love the high chair, so I saw the booster and grabbed it. It was like $20 (maybe less). We have wood chairs, so I think it will work fine.

We have the basic Fisher Price one (green and blue) that you see everywhere and it works great, have used it on quite a few different kinds of chairs (I keep it in my trunk for when we're at other people's houses). They also make a deluxe version and we have the Babies R Us version of that, which is the one I use daily at home bc the tray is a bit smaller and easier to clean. They attach the same way, straps around back and bottom of chair.

Just noticed that Oxo Tot sells something similar if you want to match the high chair. :)

My youngest is 2.5. He has been sitting on this booster for a while now... maybe since a little before he turned 2? I like it because it's soft and has a soft back as well. You can also buy the seat mat (http://www.amazon.com/Prince-Lionheart-Seat-Neat-Brown/dp/B006JINDOW/ref=pd_bxgy_ba_text_y) if you have nice chairs and don't want to ruin it. It really helps for us b/c our boys drop food all the time.

We have this one and I like it a lot. It has two straps for the back and bottom of the chair. The top is soft and easily cleaned. My only gripe with it is that food will get stuck in certain areas; but nothing a vacuum can't fix in a few seconds or just dumping it upside down and vacuuming the crumbs up.

Up until this point, my 2.5 year old has used our Oxo high chair and my now 11-month old has used the Bumbo during meal times. Well, the younger one has outgrown the Bumbo (can't believe it lasted us so long) and we would like to put her in the high chair, and bring the older one to the big table with a booster.

The issue is that we have retro style leather swiveling dining chairs, and I am concerned about what kind of booster will fit on them.

What do you use? Should I find something that somehow straps onto the chair or under them? She's petite and I think it is something she will use for a long time...

TIA!

ETA: I was considering something like this, but I don't think it provides enough "boost" for her to eat comfortably at the table, and since our chairs are leather and rounded, I think it would just slide off.
