@CatchAFallingStar: I stopped putting the suppositories so far up and haven't bled since, but I have noticed I am having more cramping. It feels like pinching/pulling, but it is only mild. Sometimes it's a little more intense, but only lasts a few seconds. I'm hoping it's normal. I have an appt on Monday the 19th

@pachamama: I stopped putting the suppositories so far up and haven't had any bleeding since, so hopefully that was the reason, but I will definitely still ask.

I had heavy bleeding with my 2nd, after sex, but it did stop and OB just told me to not have intercourse for a couple weeks till my next appointment. It never happened after that.

@JessieKoger: the progesterone suppositories made me bleed with my first pregnancy for weeks- Endometrin brand more than the generic Prometrium ones, but it was brown. The nurse said it irritates the cervix (as does sex). One thought, at your next u/s have them check for a subchorionic hemorrhage. Pretty harmless and they usually just disappear but could be the reason for all this which is nice to know :-) I would think after 2 days and bleeding hasn't increased and there's no cramping it's probably not an MC :-)

@CatchAFallingStar: it almost went away and then started again last night, but my husband and I did have intercourse so maybe that’s why? Also, someone on another board told me that progesterone suppositories made her bleed, which I have been taking those since Oct 12th.. I will take these until the end of first trimester. I’m not sure what to think..

I had bright red bleeding around the same time in my pregnancy with my son, who is now 2.5 years old. It’s so scary (mine was after a miscarriage the previous pregnancy) but often is normal and it’s a great sign you saw a HB! Good luck!

@JessieKoger: I had 2 notable spotting instances with E. The first was mostly brown occurring at 6+5 after an intense TV ultrasound at 6+3, I was still under the care of my RE so I got an extra ultrasound at 6+6. That was just brown and seemed to stop shortly after. The other was at 11+3 and was bright red and continued happening for a while after the initial gush. Since I was out of RE care my OB had me go to the ER for a check. They never found what was wrong and the bleeding ultimately stopped in a few hours. Its so hard to be the early pregnant and not really be getting any reassurance that everything is ok.

@JessieKoger: I had a lot of spotting with my first. It was so scary. I was utterly convinced that I’d lost the baby at around 6 weeks or so. But, everything was absolutely fine! That baby is now almost 4. I also had pretty strong cramps throughout that pregnancy, especially when I hadn’t had enough water. Just remember that so many things can cause spotting (sex, orgasm, ultrasounds/cervical exams, exercise ...etc., etc.). So, it’s not automatically something to freak out about.

@JessieKoger: you should be ok then. The transvaginal can cause some discomfort and spotting to light bleeding. You can always call your on call nurse for your OBs office or insurance company's nurse line. If all else fails maybe a trip to Saturday clinic or urgent care if you're very concerned.

I am currently 6w2d (I thought 6w4d). Last night I started spotting bright red blood. I noticed a few spots in my underwear and when I wiped. Bled all through the night and most of this morning. Nothing heavy. I had a transvaginal us this afternoon and there was barely any blood and it looked brown. My dr didn’t seem worried, even about the red blood. Also, everything looked great in the ultrasound and we even saw a flicker! So I was happy about that. But red blood is still there with brown also. Anyone else experience this? My dr’s office is open on saturdays so I might call in the morning if it continues.
