Yes, he happened to be the one driving, but they clearly had been drinking together. I was driving my then FI's car (actually, I wasn't *driving,* I was in a Chick-fil-A drive through and the cop pulled in behind me), and the tags on the car were expired (by like, literally, 12 hours).
