The other skin symptom I have found through my own research is redness around anus that will also not respond to creams, specifically zinc oxide creams. But, he arches, gags, coughs, has diarrhea, pulls away from the bottle and cries, and sometimes refuses the bottle altogether. We have 1 million bibs, and so many burp cloths, so I don't mind that part so much! He will wake up from a deep sleep crying, from the acid in his throat, spit up, and then have a hard time getting back to sleep. </p> <p>@Mrs Green Grass: See, that's what I thought too? But, on the Sensitivity formula we are looking at trying first, it says it helps with fussiness, gas, and spit up. Our Ped also said that it doesn't sound like a food sensitivity because his skin is normal, he is gaining (6.6 lbs at birth, now at 10 weeks almost at 11 lbs, has grown over 4 inches), and he doesn't cry all day. She said with food sensitivities it shows up more that just GI issues. It's prethickened with rice cereal. The theory is that it stays down more easily because it's thicker. We were on Zantac and then we had to go to a stronger PPI, Prilosec I believe. It didn't help with the reflux so much, as it helped with the gas. His reflux was only helped by Zantac.
