My second son spit up a ton including in his sleep, which really freaked me out. I had him in the Rock n Play until 5m. Spit up wasn't any better then but he could roll and I figured he would start side or tummy sleeping.

We just used a small flat pillow under one side of the crib mattress, then, a rolled muslin swaddle, then flat. We didn't go totally flat until just about when we started weaning off meds at 5.5 months. He was in the RNP for about 6 weeks, but he hated the confinement so then we moved to the inclined crib. He moved a ton in his sleep so we didn't do a nest and just dealt with it if he rolled to the foot of the bed in the night.

The set we got is stackable so you can adjust as needed. We started at the tallest, which was 8 inches and.a pretty significant angle, moved down to 5 inches when she got a little bigger (and was scooting out of nest I made) and then just transition to no riser at all.

@Madison43: I didn't even think of risers! What height are they?

LO2 is 5 months (3.5 months adjusted) and we just took her crib off risers this weekend. She's done great - I could tell she was ready. She is spitting up a ton, but her silent reflux symtoms (gagging, coughing, hard swallowing with crying, etc...) had decreased enough that I'd thought she'd be ok...and she was! I still have the Rock and Play out for bad days, so we'll see how often she needs it.

So I seem to have an irrational fear of DS sleeping flat since he has reflux. If your baby had/has reflux do they sleep on a wedge or any incline, and till how old? I just want to see if I'm overreacting in my fear that he's gonna choke in his sleep
