Updating in case others find this in the future...I ended up using a checklist provided by Buy Buy Baby when we went there in person to register.

I think this one is accurate for what we ended up needing.
https://blog.registryfinder.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/baby-checklist_v2.pdf

The things I felt I could never have enough of at first were bibs, burp cloths, footed sleepers, muslin blankets, bassinet sheets, pacifiers, and bottles/nipples. And if you’re having a boy, wash cloths (we used them to cover his junk during diaper changes so we didn’t get peed in the eye!) Those are things that get a ton of use and also get dirty quickly. I didn’t want to worry about running out, so I wanted to always have enough that even if there was a load in the washer (which was almost every day) I knew I had backups. Even if they were still in the laundry basket waiting to be folded 😉

Also for you, nursing bras and hands-free pumping bra. I started with 1-2 of each and quickly learned that they get dirty fast as well and having many was helpful! Especial since those need to be hang dried.

I'm sorry, I thought it was lucies list, but it wasn't.

Here it is:
http://www.squawkfox.com/newborn-essentials-checklist/

I had an excel sheet version of this, and I think I went through and edited it with the specifics and recommendations from lucies list. Then I used it to complete my registries.

Hope that helps!

Lucie's list had a print out that I used!
I just searched quickly, but couldn't find it on their website. Did you see it?
I think I have it saved on my home computer, if you'd like me to find it let me know.

Does anyone have a link to a good guide for registering?

I've read Lucie's list and similar things on what kinds of gear to register for, but I'm looking for something that gives a good idea of how much you should have (like how many towels, washcloths, onsies per size, etc.)

Anyone have a helpful guide saved?
