Lucie's List and Baby Bargains saved my butt. My list included:

- Fun stuff/not necessary (bouncer, some toys for those who just want to buy toys, rock n play, pack n play, activity gym, teethers)
- Clothing (basic white onesies, sleepsacks in a medium size for when he's a little older, Miracle Blanket, swaddling blankets, hangers, mittens, closet dividers for different sizes)
- Pacifiers (a couple of different types), pacigrips
- Stroller, car seat, car seat adaptor for stroller, sun shades for car, car seat mirror, parent console for stroller
- Toiletry/bathing stuff (shampoo/bodywash, lotion, Boogie Wipes, Aquaphor, brush/comb, washcloths, hooded towels, bath tub, tempguard like a color-changing ducky for bath water because I'm paranoid)
- Feeding (bottle set for daycare, breastpump, milk storage bags, nursing pads, nipple cream, boppy, boppy slipcover, protective boppy cover, bottle brush, drying rack, microwave sterilizer bags for pump parts, etc.)
- Bedding (waterproof crib pads, crib sheets, pack n play sheets, blanket for when he's not in the crib/sleeping/napping, crib mattress
- Diapering (disposables in newborn and S1, wipes, changing pad, pad liners, pad covers, diaper rash cream -- a couple of different types, diaper pail, diaper pail refills, diaper bag, diaper bag dispenser for dirty diapers on the go)
- Solid feeding (snackers, spoons, bowl, high chair, containers for freezing, straw trainer/sippy cup, bibs)
- First aid (first aid kit, nasal saline spray/drops, gas relief drops/gripe water, rectal thermometer, chest rub, vitamin D drops, boogie snatcher, nasal aspirator)
- White noise machine
- Baby gate
- Baby monitor
- Cloth diapers for burp cloths (the Gerber prefold ones)
- Baby carrier (we registered for the Boba)

Some stuff we took off the registry because we got them as hand-me-downs, some stuff we received as gifts. We ended up buying the car seat ourselves and divided the rest into "must haves" (or what I considered must haves ;)), "can wait" and "don't need" and bought the rest of the "must haves" after our shower.

I found the guides on BRU and Amazon valuable for general categories of stuff, and customized based on what I wanted. Hellobee was also useful. Then I used Lucies List and Baby Bargains (mostly the latter) for choosing brands and specific things.

Thanks so much ladies! Just spent the last two hours on Lucies List and added a bunch of stuff to my registry (also apparently am not being very productive at work today.... whooops!)

I got a list from BBB- but i felt like I needed more info on each item- and what they did- Lucies List was a huge help in that department!

@coacheswife123: good idea!! I am sure we will get a crazy amount of clothes!

One more thing: I'd say do not waste time registering for clothes. People are going to get you what they want to get you in that regard- not necessarily something off your registry. I only registered for necessities like onesies, side snap shirts, socks, and still didn't get any of them. Haha!

I also used Lucie's List! We got a list from the store we registered at, too, but it was MASSIVE and insanely all-inclusive. I felt like it was overkill.

I also emailed all my mom friends and asked them to send me a list of their best tips and favorite items. I got some good ones--like have a few pacifiers on hand and once you know which one your kid likes, buy more of those. Some kids are picky!

Where did you register? Usually the place will give you a giant list of "necessities" and you can go through it and pick the stuff that you actually want/need. I liked the huge packet that Babies R Us gave, even though I skipped a bunch of items, and it was helpful to be able to check off items in one place between that and our Amazon registry.

I 2nd Lucie's List. It was helpful when I did mine. Also if you have a Mom friend, take her with you. My friend helped me out a lot.

Anyone have an overall big list of things we should have on our registry? We have hte big things on there (crib, carseat, etc) but I am super unsure about all the other things we need.

Anyone have any helpful lists that I can check things off of? Or ideas of things we definatly need?

Thanks
