Considering my 7.5 month old is already in 12-18 month clothes, I have zero clue what she'll be wearing next fall/winter. It isn't worth the risk to me to pre-buy.

I avoid shoes other than sneakers (because she wears sneakers year-round to daycare). I totally pre-buy clothes. The deals are too good to pass up! My LO has pretty much followed the sizes that go with her age so it's pretty easy to predict.

Oh one more reason I don't prebuy much- I like buying and getting to put her in it right away. So much more satisfying! But my other reasons are the real reason I limit it, plus sometimes she gets picky and won't wear certain things now.

I'm the worst to ask. I bought a 12-18 and 18-24 month snowsuit, I figure I can sell the one I don't use. I have a 10 month old and pre buy everything but shoes on sale.

I have also bought at the end of the season for the next one and had no size issues but I am shipping from the US to Aus so it's not a full year between wears and easier to guess her size.

I never pre buy seasonal shoes because I think it's really important that they fit properly and her feet seem to grow in spurts (well, duh, growth spurts, but still :) ) I suppose things like sneakers you could.

Even for clothes I figure you can always get a sale- maybe not the biggest discount but most stores have a sale every few weeks at least. It's cheaper to pay 75% of retail for clothes that fit than 50% off but having a lot of it not fit. Plus she gets a lot of gifts so I don't want to overbuy anyway.

So my LO is almost 10 months. Of course in my online "browsing" I've been coming across sales on end of season stuff. I've been tempted to stock up for next fall/winter. For you bees that have kids and have btdt, how successful were you are buying for next year? Do they start to grow like weeds at a certain point? I sadly passed on a pair of boots on my bst group because I just have no idea what size she will be at a certain point in time. Does the same apply for clothing? I'd hate to buy all of this stuff and have it not fit but I also *hate* paying full retail. She's super skinny and kinda long. Wearing 6-9, 9-12 depending on brand
Anything I should stock up on that is a safe buy? Stuff to avoid (jackets? Shoes?)
