Interesting! My son is an increaser and my DD is definitely a releaser. She wails while BFing sometimes and then passes out right away. She always wakes up with a HUGE smile on her face, even if her nap was only for 20 minutes.

Definitely a releaser over here. She hates to be rocked or cuddled to sleep.

" If you leave the child alone, the child will wail initially (for anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes), but then settle down to a fuss or whimper, and will soon fall asleep. A child who releases tension from crying will often wake up happy and refreshed, and will play alone in the bed, co-sleeper, or crib for awhile before you come to get them."

THAT is C. That's her exact pattern.

He is very in the middle. CIO worked for us at 6 months and he's been a good sleeper since. However there are sometimes as his mom I just "know" when he's crying because he needs/wants me and he will always always calm down when I nurse him and normally always go to sleep right afterwards.

Yeah he's very much in the middle.

I love Ask Moxie! I've read this article before. I definitely have an increaser. She'll throw up if left to CIO.

HAHA!! That website is blocked at my work because it's categorized as "pornography". I guess I'll read it when I get home. :-)

Increaser. We've never let her cry more than 10 minutes, but she's easily rocked or nursed to sleep.

I have an increaser. Nursing and rocking calm her down but if she cries too much, she throws up.
