Thanks everyone! I've got a belt & exercise ball arriving in a day or so. Hopefully that'll give some relief, but I'll call my midwife too to ask about a physical therapist referral. The mommies in my prenatal yoga also have an excellent chiropractor they use, so I'll look into that.

Although not practical for everyone, going on bedrest was the only thing that helped my intense pain. I was pregnant with twins so had double the pressure weighing down on my pelvis. My pain instantly went away when I started spending the whole day horizontal, by one dr appt (where I had to be upright, obviously) would bring the pain back.

I did prenatal physical therapy. It was entirely aquatic based so maybe even getting in a pool to swim around (we did lots of kicking exercises) would help.

I'm 32w with my first and he's sitting so low already... I've used heating pads a lot when the area is specific, but really like the support belts. I think it helps more with keeping the pain away, rather than treating it once it arrives.

Birthing ball for sure!! Heat/cold always helped a little. Tylenol, baths or showers, and physio also worked. My pain was worst until about 30 weeks, then I got a bit of relief until the end. Hope you find something that works for you!

I had a lot of pelvic pain and seeing professionals is the only thing that really helped. Sure, baths help some, but they don't treat/cure the issue, they just help the symptoms.

Physical therapy and prenatal chiro worked wonders. I had to do them a lot though - several times a week for a chunk of my pregnancy.

Support belt, baths with epsom salts, lots and lots of cat cow, but most importantly, a good chiropractor!

I'm 26 weeks with my second child and the pain/soreness in my pelvis is intense. Getting out of bed in the morning is a long process, I'm uncomfortable most of the day just walking & working (I teach preschool), and if I'm not slow/careful I'm in a lot of pain.

My midwife says it's common; get a support belt & take baths/tylonol. Is there anything else that helps, like using a birthing ball instead of sitting on the floor or chair? I'm worried this will get worse and I'll have trouble with labor and delivery.
