@Andrea: We use it for each bath...so every other day. It suds up a lot so just be cautious of getting it in the eyes.

Our pediatrician suggested selsun blue...there is a 'naturals' one and that's what we use.

@Andrea: No problem! I hate buying things if I don't know what I'm buying too... such a waste of money if it turns out you don't want to use it. Or a pain to return it.

@Andrea: Ingredients: water, cocoglucoside, disodium cocoyl glutamate, glyceryl caprylate, citric acid, tetrasodium glutamate, diacetate, climbazole, sodium cocoyl glutamate, parfum (fragrance), salicylic acid, sodium hydroxide, sorbic acid.

@mamadopt: The rating seems to be "moderate hazard" but I am sure it is OK if it works quickly and you don't need to use it a lot. Thanks!

You can use Selsun Blue as well. Spread some on the effected areas 2 minutes before the bath and then rinse it off. Works like a charm, though some people don't like the way it rates on cosmetic database or the smell it leaves behind.

For us, we used it twice and never had another cradle cap problem.

@Andrea: This is what we use. It was recommended by a friend. It says for newborns, but she said she used it way past newborn age. I can't say personally if it works well because we've only used it a couple of times, but she swears by it.

@artbee: I hope she grows out of it! Maybe I need this special shampoo for my LO. My husband gets dandruff if he doesn't use Head and Shoulders so I think he has passed his dry scalp issues to our LO.

My LO has cradle cap but I was told she'd grow out of it. We have a special shampoo for her... which we don't use because she screams when we do. I think it tingles and feels weird so she doesn't like it. And I figured I didn't care if she'd grow out of it anyway and it's not hurting her. Now I'm worried she won't grow out of it!

My LO's always had a dry, itchy scalp and our pediatrician told me to put brush baby oil through her hair at bath time. This doesn't seem to be working right now and her scalp is red and raw this morning from all the scratching of it she did last night ... really did a number on herself. Does anyone know what else I can use on her scalp? I would prefer products that have safe ingredients. Thanks.
