@Meowkers: I'm one of your examples and I've never felt weird in the professional world, and I'm in a very professional environment, so it doesn't bother everyone! :)

We call her Emme almost exclusively, she's 3 1/2 and we've called her it since birth. She just seems like more of an Emme to me at this point as well!

@LuLu Mom: Thank you. Good to know. I have a good friend who like you has the nickname of a full name popular in the 80s (kind of like Jessie instead of Jessica or Jenny instead of Jennifer). She HATES it in the professional environment. Everyone always assumes her full name is "Jessica." She'll grumble occasionally about her parents' naming decisions. haha
Do you use nicknames for your Emerson?

@Meowkers: haha just to play devil's advocate, i'm a grown woman and my name ends in "ee" and i've never felt weird. My full name is actually a nickname for one of the most popular names in the 80s and I'm thankful they gave me the nickname not the full name.

And I have an Emerson and think it's a great name with Ellie! We actually threw that out for #3, but i'm not against matching. We went with a different E name that ends with "Ee" sound.

Awesome suggestions.

@youboots: @LuLu Mom: @creativemomma15: I just can't bring myself to do a full name that ends in the "ee" sound. To me it sounds cute and fun but I want to have the option for a more mature sounding name if she wants it in the future. That's how we named my daughter Elliott. We wanted to call her Ellie so we picked a full name that had that nickname but could give her other options.

@rattles: OOOOH. Emerson is actually one of our favorite names but we thought we couldn't use it because our daughter goes by Ellie and we thought it would be too much to have an Ellie and an Emi. But I think Remy may work!

I'm not sure of a full name for it but personally I don't put a whole lot of stock in the whole resume test. I mean, I don't think Bernie sounds super professional but look where he's at. And I love Remy as a name! Super cute!

Rosemarie? Romina? (you could even make the nickname Romi, which I also think is cute) A double name with the sounds (something like Rebecca Marie)?

We love the nickname Remy for a girl but feel it can't be a full name. Senator Remy or Dr. Remy just doesn't sound right. Besides Ramona or Remington, can anyone think of any names that could have Remy as a nickname?
