My own wedding was a much-larger-than-imagined affair that I barely enjoyed, even though the photos look great. We were so set on eloping that we scouted out a few venues in CA and actually gave a deposit to a photographer in Hawaii, until my MIL guilt-tripped me into recreating my nature-zen wedding in a hotel ballroom in Philly. No stories necessary; it was all such a disaster. </p> <p>Anyway, we brought up the idea of renewing our vows and having the real ceremony we wanted with just the two of us. It was the first time I'd thought of a vow renewal and I wondered...have you ever considered renewing your vows? When/why/where would you do it? </p>
