@Raspberry: yes this is what my jeweler said. I sized down my engagement ring and had spacers added to my eternity band.

With that big of a discrepancy I would probably wait until I was done having children/breastfeeding and buy a small silver band to keep the ring from falling off when I wanted to wear it. The nice thing about the sizing balls is they can be easily removed

Are you hoping to have more kids? If yes then maybe hold off? If no go for it! Maybe leave a bit of wiggle room for hot weather bloating/the holidays :silly:

I would definitely take it in to my jeweler and see what the best option would be - either resizing, adding small balls to make it smaller or some other solution. I wouldn't want to lose it!

My ring was loose post baby too. It bugged me because it would move around so much. I went to the jeweler and instead of resizing it he put two tiny balls inside the band so it's tighter. I can't even feel the balls and forgot it's even there until I looked at it now.

I wouldn't. Sizing down a micropave band can cause structural issues (think bending an ice cube tray to pop ice cubes out). It would probably depend on how many sizes down - make sure you consult with an expert jeweller!

I voted no only because my ring size changes a lot due to season and water retention, even though my weigh doesn't. I'd probably get plastic sizers for now and not make a drastic change to the rings at this point.

I say this because for whatever reason, I was ridiculously skinny while breastfeeding my first DD. Like, go buy jeans in the kids department skinny. I didn't have quite such a weight loss with DD2. After DD3, I've lost the baby weight but haven't had the same crazy weight loss as I did the first time - I'm just my normal size. In fact, for whatever reason my knuckles are still very swollen 5 months postpartum- it's hard to get my rings on and off! So I guess my point is, it's hard to predict, so I'll stick to temporary fixes for rings until I'm 100% done with babies and nursing.

I'd be scared of losing them too. Unless you want to get those little clear plastic removable sizers for now?

That's a huge difference! I'd resize because it might fall off and get lost. Depending on how cold it is these days mine could possibly come off too but it's not as dramatic as yours. I keep putting it off but I had had issues with the pave diamonds falling out all the time so I'm afraid to do anything to it..ok and maybe a little lazy too. It is forever turning backwards when I wear it!

Not baby related, but 8 months post partum and I'm less than my wedding weight - yay! Should I have my rings resized? My rings are both half micro-pave bands, they are both super loose (photo below), thinking it's time but just never done it...
