I had it pre pregnancy and if was worse during pregnancy. My doctor told me to take magnesium vitamins and that helped some. Working out always helped me too. Just make sure you stretch really well!

Its brutal, isn't it? I've had restless leg syndrome for a few years, but since getting pregnant, it has been much worse. I find that a bath helps, or standing up (not nice when you just want to sleep!). No solutions for you - I'm still in 2nd tri myself. But maybe, like the other ladies said, it'll be on its way out soon. Best of luck!

I feel your pain! I am almost 35 weeks and I have had it since the second trimester. The only way I can find relief is by taking a warm bath before bed but it works every time.

Oh yeah, I know this one all too well! I actually got it very occasionally prior to pregnancy, too. I tend to get it in the evenings when I'm really over tired - or particularly bored - and, for me, relief only comes from getting up and doing something different. Earlier this evening I got it and I had a nice warm bath, that made it go away.

Oh good!! That makes me feel better. Everything I read from Dr. Google told me that it's mostly common in late third trimester....so I was panicking that I was going to be dealing with this for the next 27 weeks!!!

I've just entered the 2nd trimester, and while I'm glad that the nausea and fatigue is mainly gone, my legs have been killing me every evening. I have an uncontrollable urge to move them and can't sit still for any period of time. I broke my toe a few weeks ago so haven't been exercising as much as usual, I wonder if that plays a role?

Did anyone else experience this? Did you do anything to relieve the annoyance? Did it go away on its own?
