i started LO in daycare two days before i went back to work, because i wasn't sure how i would handle starting work and LO starting daycare all on the same day. the two days i had to myself were actually very liberating and i enjoyed myself. when i went back to work, my biggest issue was that i was tired. even though LO was waking up only 1x per night at that point, the interrupted sleep really affected me. i started going to be ridiculously early, and that has helped me immensely.

Make sure you have as much of a freezer supply as you can. Can you visit your LO at lunch? That helped me...

@littlepenguin: going back to work was hard. There's no sugar coating that. But for me once I got over the fact that I was going back and focused on the positives (providing a better quality of life for us, insurance, etc) that helped. I threw myself back into it, the busier I stay the faster the day goes. there will be good and bad days but at 11 months J is doing great and we have a great routine.

Good luck mama! You're doing a hard thing being a WOHM but you're not all.e and you can always lean on this community when you hit bumps in the road.

I'm returning back to work next week after being on Maternity leave for 15 weeks. My LO will be 3 months on mother's day. I'm working part time for the next couple months, so I'm easing my way back into work. I'm still planning on breastfeeding/pumping for as long as I can.

I'm happy to return to my professional life, but am a little sad and nervous about being away from my son. What tips and advice do you have for returning back to work?
