I think as long as they have the same outfit in stock then it's ok! I thought maybe they could have came from Kohls or a similar store, and they still took them back. I tried returning something to our local Carter's store, not knowing where it was purchased (MIL simply REFUSES to get gift receipts). They can tell from the color of the tag where it came from, and mine had been purchased at Kohl's. But then, they told me they couldn't find the items in their system! They wouldn't accept it :( </p> <p>I was bummed, but then realized where they came from eventually. We received a couple of outfits which I genuinely love, but I'm afraid C will grow out of them too quickly and we have plenty of clothes in her current size, so I want to get the next size up. They were purchased at a Carter's outlet, and the nearest one in almost an hour away, so I'm wondering if I can take them to a regular Carter's store or Babies R Us or something to exchange them. It looks like some are still available on Carters.com at least... </p>
