@allison: The only ones that didn't hurt my boobs were Johnson & Johnson. The others hurt and made me itch.

I like the Avent disposables ! They show the least under clothes and the material doesn't bother me! (Not what you asked in your post but thought I would weigh in !)

ETA: I have tried lansinoh, medela and avent. I prefer the avent over those 2

@allison: I use the Lansinoh ones, and have always had good luck with them. They are definitely not as soft as reusable though.

I had Itsy Ritzy ones and LOVED them. They were thin yet absorbent and din't show under clothing. The bamboo is super nice against the skin. A little pricey but worth it. http://www.itzyritzystore.com/categories/glitzy-gals-reusable-nursing-pads.htm

I had some BabyKicks ones. These were nice but showed more under clothing, but super absorbant with the hemp.
http://www.babykicks.com/store/product/nursing-pads-3pack-hemp-jersey-2-1049.cfm

I also made some lined with pul towards the outside. These were the worst as the pul caused me to itch since it kept moisture closer to the body. They were also more bulky.

ETA: I never used a disposable one except for the Medela samples that came with my pump. Horrible, IMO. They itched liked crazy and didn't stay in place even with the stickies.

I ordered these based on some Amazon reviews:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00474E17I/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They are definitely thicker than disposables but I like them. I wear a sport nursing bra most days and they don't add too much bulk or show very badly unless I'm wearing a really really thin and tight shirt (which, uh, I don't really wear). Since I rarely leak anymore, these are really just in case during the day and for overnight leaks while I'm sleeping. I just throw them in the kids' laundry basket to wash and I do use them multiple days if I haven't had a leak.

@Mrs. Chalk: Maybe I can just use the washable ones at home (I'm here most of the time anyway), and get disposables for when I leave the house. Which ones do you use?

I never had any luck with reusable nursing pads either. They looked so bulky and ridiculous through my clothing, that I never even wanted to use them. I switched to disposable, and also feel no guilt over it!

I'm in a pretty crunchy moms group on FB, and this topic came up a while back. The vast majority of people had the same problems with them. One mom said that she liked the Imse Vimse ones, and another liked Knickernappies. Every other person had switched back to disposable.

@Bluebonnet: the disposable ones I've tried hurt my nips! I like the cloth because they're softer. Do you use the Lansinoh ones?

I bought organic cotton reusable nursing pads from Amazon. They were horrible and showed through my clothes. I switched to disposable nursing pads and never looked back.

I've seen Bamboobies mentioned several times -- are those the only ones you guys have experience with?

I've been using some wool ones that I ordered from Etsy. I like them unless I leak a lot, then they take forever to dry and the milk makes them hard. Wool, obviously, is a pain to wash compared to cotton/bamboo/etc.

I'd also like some that don't show so obviously under clothing (unlike my bulky wool ones).
