We were given some short stainless steel straws to use in our take and toss cups. Some that are straight and some that have a bend. Super easy to clean - I run a straw brush through quickly and then toss in the dishwasher.

I don't have any idea on the brand, but it looks like there are a bunch on Amazon.

@Shantuck: soooo I may stick with disposable straws for the chewer for now.

I’m retracting my earlier statement that silicone straws can withstand a chewer. Ugh. My daughter managed to mangle this straw.

Yes. We bought them to replace the plastic ones that come with the cups because my 2 year old is a chewer as well. In fact, the silicone straws I bought for my now 6 year old when he was 3 are still going strong after 3 years of daily use (these were for a different type of cup that he used so that is why I recently bought a new set). Silicone can definitely take a beating.

So funny update. I got the new four pack of straw cups, planning to buy some extra straws. But one of the straws was missing so it only had 3, so I contacted amazon and they were sending another pack. I figured with 7 straws now, I should be fine.

Less than 24 hours after I received them my 3 year old chewed up not one but both sides of the straw so much that it will never got through the straw hole. 🤦🏻‍♀️ So it seems that the silicone ones will be a winner!

@Sams Mom: @Shantuck: I take it these can stand up to a 3 year old chewing on them?

My 3yo uses them with her take and toss cup, and it works great! Easy to clean, bendy, girl colors, and fairly inexpensive.

We don't have any take & toss, but we use these Silikids silicone straws in all our cups/lids. One of the reviewers suggests they do fit the take & toss, but I can't confirm that:

What straws do you like for the take and toss straw cups? I have quite a few of the cups but have long since lost or thrown out the straws that came with them. I just bought a new 4 pack of the cups, but wouldn't mind having back up straws since I have a bunch more cups still.

I'd like shorter than an adult reusable straw, preferably bendy if that exists, easy to clean, cheap enough that if it gets really gross I can toss it. I use the take and toss straw cups for milk at home since even at 3 and 5 they still knock things over, plus I keep the milk in the fridge in between meals so I like to have it covered. And extra bonus if they come in purple. :)
