I thought leaking was a given, so I got like 2 giant boxes of Lansinoh disposable pads and something like 10 pairs of Bamboobies (both daytime and overnight varieties), and I only leaked for the first two weeks postpartum, and then occasionally overnight for a few weeks. I'm still breastfeeding/pumping at 9 months, but haven't leaked once in the past 6 months for sure. I ended up giving away both boxes of disposable pads a few months ago to a friend--I had only used like 4 of them. </p> <p>I so loved the Bamboobies, so much softer on my sore nipples those first few weeks, that I had just used those. I'm holding on to those for my (hopefully) next baby, but really I didn't need as many of those as I bought either. I love love LOVE the Fuzzibunz ones. They hold a ton and have a layer of pul between the pad and your shirt so they won't leak unless they fall out of place. I had some of the disposable and I hated them. They felt funny, stuck to my nipples weirdly, and itched. Not a fan at all.</p> <p>ETA: I have another brand of resusable that are just a few layers of cotton or bamboo or something. They are totally stupid. Even what feels like the tiniest leaking while feeding DD makes them leak to my shirt. I didn't like how big they were and they could be seen under clothing, but since it was starting to be fall/winter, I could hide them better under sweaters. I also had the medela and lanisoh and the J&amp;J were so much cheaper (I think?) and better in my opinion. They have a notch inside the pad for your nipple so it's not squished and they are truly contoured/rounded so they were hidden the best. I think it's great your sis gave you pads but I think you should wait a bit till you breastfeed to decide on pads. I only say this because before I had my first kid ... The Bamboodies ones you posted have a layer of PUL, which is supposed to prevent leakage, but can also make you feel not as dry like @sorrycharlie: said. The PUL also make me itchy. </p> <p>My favorite at the Glitzy Gals from Itzy Ritzy!! Their amazing and PUL free. I loved epibi brand with different absorbencies and a sort of waterproof backing, lily pads once I wasn't leaking so much, . HATED TL care organic because they weren't big enough and they showed through a bra/tank and with no backing, pretty much like putting a paper towel in my bra. Nuk and medela were meh and I didn't like the ones with a lacy back to them because they showed through. If you're really leaky, I recommend getting Milkies to save milk whole you feed pump! I filled many bottles with those and it would have otherwise been wasted! (Side note, it's funny how this is flooding back to me 2 years later! I used the ones in your pic, okay I use them currently, during the day and then had the overnight ones for overnight. I love them! I hated the disposable ones, felt like wearing a diaper in my bra. Only used them when I was behind on laundry. At first sometimes I would go through a few day time ones in a day, but now I barely leak so I mostly just keep them for daytime to wear in case I run into a crying LO or hear something like my pump! Ha :) But I loved not having to buy and throw out a ton of pads, and I did laundry so often it was super easy to throw them in. They're pretty invisible (the overnight are bulkier) and I felt like they did a good job. I switched to reusable and just switched them whenever I leaked too much. I liked the Charlie Banana ones because the material didn't feel as wet when I leaked, but they don't conform to a breast shape very well so I didn't wear them in public unless I had a bulky sweater or jacket on. The Bamboobies are the best for not showing under clothes, but they feel wet pretty fast so they didn't work as well during the first few months. I think I had stopped wearing nursing pads altogether by 7-8 months PP. </p>
