@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Good luck!!! :goodluck: I sincerely hope that your insurance covers some (or all!) IF-related costs/procedures (if you wind up needing to go)!

Thanks ladies. We will see if we can get a :bfp: in July, if not we will keep our RE appointment. I haven't even looked up our costs associated with this stuff vs insurance. Our carrier doesn't provide much info to me ever because I am on my husband's plan. He Is Less than Interested in finding out the costs. I hope we don't get sticker shock.

Whenever you feel ready.

I thinks my insurance rules were under 35 and without a diagnosis, 12 months of timed intercourse. Over 35, 6 months of times intercourse. With a diagnosis, you get to the RE much quicker. I was diagnosed with PCOS by my GYN almost immediately after I stopped BC pills and I went straight to the RE.

Based on the info you provided, I think it is time for you to see an RE. They truly are the experts at helping you get pregnant!! :) Most people feel more relieved after seeing an RE, because you feel like you have some answers, a game plan, a better chance of getting pregnant soon. Good luck!! :)

Whenever you are comfortable with it. NTNP for nearly 2 years would definitely be enough for me. Most would be pregnant with in a year or so I think even if not *really* trying if you are just having regular intercourse 2-3x a week. I saw one after 15 months and only waited so long because I had already begun diagnostic testing with my primary care and OB after 7 or 8 months. By the time I got to the RE, the testing was done and we just went straight into meds and monitoring.

I was aggressive from the beginning because I was diagnosed with PCOS right as we were starting to try. Usually if you are under 35 they say to go after 1 year of TTC, 6 months if you are over 35.

I first went to the RE after we had been trying for 9 months. She took the appointment because I had a known issue, but still wanted us to try for another 3 months before we progressed to any treatment. Good luck to you! Feel free to ask any questions you may have!

From a mental standpoint, when you're ready.

If your insurance covers IF, I'd check to see what their rules are. Ours wouldn't cover IF testing until we had a years worth of documentation from my gyne that we'd been trying.

When both of you are comfortable with the idea. I knew I had ovulation issues before TTC so I was aggressive from 3 months in.

If your cycles are regular/there is no immediately obvious reason that something is wrong, I'd say at a year, it's worth it to go.

My husband is getting impatient. We have not wholeheartedly tried on our own every cycle for the past 12 months, but have NTNP for at least 1.5-2 years. He's okay for trying on our own maybe another two cycles. He found a RE and is definitely ready to get this show on the road.

When is it time to see a RE?
