I started with Earth's Best organic rice cereal but quickly changed to Earth's Best oatmeal cereal. Now I give my 14 month old regular oatmeal with fruit in it. I try to stay away from rice now because of the reports of arsenic in rice, even in organic and organic brown rice. Scary ! If I make porridge or anything with rice for him I use sprouted brown rice from Thailand - supposedly less arsenic in rice from Thailand. Anything that has brown rice syrup in it as an ingredient - like some baby formulas - also may have arsenic.

I buy Earth's Best. After comparing the ingredients with Gerbers, I opted for the one with less and I think Gerbers had soy in it.

I think Gerber has an organic one, too. I think I have bought it before. I also cooked brown rice and put it in the food processor.

I make my own rice porridge, buy organic brown rice cereal, and have used either Heinz or Gerber brand as well. But mostly, LO just eats the porridge that I make.

I bought LO some Earth's best, but she didn't like it much. Eventually I started making her rice porridge using organic brown rice.

I made my own. Very easy. Put some brown rice in the magic bullet and then cook it. I used extra water so it would be smooth.

Did you use regular old Gerber rice cereal or did you opt for an organic brand?
