@Crisark: Ok, maybe I'll just start increasing the amount and see how much he eats before adding another feeding. I think that he is going to love when he starts other food. I like our doctor, she said start when we are ready, not at a certain age.

@Mrs Green Grass: I don't want to mix too much since I'm mixing with breast milk and I don't like pumping, so I don't want to waste.

Guess I will just play it by ear. Thanks ladies!

Start with a tiny but to see how he likes it. I pour formula and the bottom of a small bowl then sprinkle on some rice cereal. My lo hates it and doesn't really eat any so I don't need much.

A will be 4 months next week and she's been taking cereal from a spoon for almost a week now and loves it.
I don't really measure the amount of the cereal. I shake some in and add a scoop of formula powder and then nursery water.
She just loves it. I started a bit early because she was ready. This is my 3rd kid, I'm not too concerned with waiting for the doctors to approve every little thing. I follow my babies lead.
If you think your LO is hungry more and formula or breastmilk isn't keeping him full you could offer cereal a couple times. It's whenever you feel it's time.

DS is just over 4 months. We were going to wait until 6 months and do BLW. But he seemed so interested in eating I decided to start with cereal. The last two nights I made up small amounts just to try. He loved it and gobbled it up.

So now I'm wondering how much I should be offering him? And then how long until I offer more times a day?
