If you're doing it to start solids, giving it on a spoon would be good practice for your lo. R has some reflux but it's normal reflux for her age. This is a group of pediatricians that DH went to as a child (even though all of his doctors have long since retired). He is insistent that R go there too which I don't understand. Every time I try to bring up going somewhere different he gets upset. I'll have to show him this article though, thanks!!</p> <p>ETA - she is on hypoallergenic formula for her supplementing because she had allergic reactions to milk based formula. I've heard it as a way to combat reflux, but it's not generally recommended as a way to feed solids. He looooves it! I was shocked how much he took to it. We started it super runny with breastmilk (4 tablespoons bm, 1 tablespoon cereal). Did that for 2 nights, then tonight we tried it a little thicker (2 to 1) and he liked that even more.
