@Revel: You inspired me to make some tutorials, lol, so I just posted two videos on my blog that might help (if you haven't figured it out already).

@Revel: I have a sakura sling as well and have the same issue...I try to make sure the linen is as smooth as possible between the rings before putting LO in and adjusting it.

@Mrs. Twine: Skype would probably help! It's tough to describe. I realize I was saying the fabric was getting stuck in the ring but it's really getting stuck between the rings as I adjust. I'm thinking that getting it as well adjusted as possible before I put LO in it may be my best solution at the moment, while I break in the linen.

@Navy_Mommy: @Revel: I'm envisioning a three-way Skype ;) I think maybe @Navy_Mommy is better at helping sight unseen. I just have a really hard time visualizing to give you the best answer. It sounds like the level of breaking in may be playing a role, but I think there should be a way to get this to work for you in the meantime as well. Obviously washing, line/air drying, and ironing will help soften the fabric.

@Mrs. Twine: @Navy_Mommy: thanks for responding so fast. When I said inside I meant the rail close to my body, and outside for farther from me, the side that is outside LO? The bunching is I guess just fabric getting stuck in the ring, or not sliding smoothly. Maybe the linen just needs to get worn in? I'm trying to get it as tight as possible before I put her in, but I still can't totally snug the outside fabric around her because it sticks in the ring.

I also do what@Mrs. Twine: does... tighten top rail, tighten bottom rail, adjust the middle.

Also, you want to have the sling pretty snug before you even poor put it on. The less you have to tighten it once it's on with a baby init, the less likely it is to bunch up.

And when tightening the top rail pull the top rail of the tail straight across your body (like the top rail is across your baby) and when you're tightening the bottom rail pull it diagonally downward across your body (again, in the direction it is going under your baby). I hope that makes sense, it's hard to explain without showing you.

Do you mean the top rail or the bottom rail? Linen takes some time to break in, the more you run the fabric through the rings, the easier it'll get. Just make sure there's no bunching when you first put baby inthe sling and adjust slowly.

I think I would need to see to be able to be the biggest help. If I am having trouble adjusting I try to start with one edge of the fabric, tighten that to where I want, find the other edge, tighten that, and then snug up the middle fabric and repeat as necessary. I also usually try to support the carry with one hand while I'm getting everything snug. Does this help or make sense?

I have a Sakura bloom linen ring sling that I just started using for LO (8 weeks old). I'm having trouble with the fabric bunching in the rings when trying to adjust it, particularly when trying to adjust the outer rail once baby is in the sling.

Anyone have any tips?
