We stayed in a Super 8 motel in Yreka, and it was shockingly nice. It's a bit north of Crescent City but not that far. They have really nice yurts to rent, if you want a bit of a camping experience. Jedediah Smith Redwoods is a gorgeous park too. The Smith River in that area is spectacular. It's color is unlike any river I've seen. Mendocino is further down the coast, but well worth a stop. We want to visit the Redwoods and will stay in an AirBNB one way. Any suggestions on the best place to stay between Crecent City and Eureka? Any suggestions on where we could stay for 2 nights on the way back either on the 101 or I-5? Usually we just hot shot it but now that we have T I thought it would be fun to do two little mini vacations to and from our trip to see family. We have gone to the Jelly Belly factory. Any other fun roadside attractions? </p>
