Regarding schedule and sleeping in the pnp, for my son getting used to it didn't change the fact that when I set it up we were somewhere else. Sleep changes will happen, there will be a transition period. I'd skip getting accustomed to the pnp.

account for a 45 minutes stop every 2 hours, it may take that, but at least you'll bbe expecting it. Bring favorite toys and music. Sing. And if it's awful, it will end eventually!

My husband just accepted a job in another state. We are going to look at houses in 2 weeks- about a 10 hour drive. We plan on leaving in the middle of the night so we can get a good chunk of driving done while baby (hopefully) sleeps. She enjoys the car so I'm not too concerned with that. We got a suite so she can have her own space and will bring her white noise machine. My concern is that she was just sleep trained about a month ago and overall has done great. Is going away going to screw everything up? We are going to try and give her morning nap in the room and keep her bedtime routine the same but during the day we are going to be out and she will have to sleep in the car. We've never been away before so I'm starting to stress out. We are bringing a pack n play- should I have her sleep in it before we go so she can get used to it? Any suggestions for making this trip as easy on everyone as possible? DD will be almost 8 months at the time of the trip.
