When she would stir at night I could throw my hand over the edge of the bed and rock her gently back to sleep without having to get up. I will often put LO down and rock her with my foot till she falls asleep. You can also rock it with one finger in the middle of the night when you're half asleep. I did this many times her first two months or so. We basically just used it as a bassinet for her to sleep in the first few weeks in our room. The Bright Starts Sleeper looks very similar (but doesn't rock) and is about 1/2 the price of the rock n play, Is the rocking part that necessary?</p> <p>Persuade me one way or the other please! </p>
