I want one, but I want a recliner! I don't like the exposed mechanisms in the traditional gliders, and like Sha said, wanna be able to sleep in it :)

we got a Best Chairs rocker/recliner and i loooove it. i slept in it for a week or two after coming home from the hospital bc i couldn't get in and out of bed easily after my c-section. i like the look of the more modern gliders but we needed a bigger chair so my husband could use it too.

@chopsuey119: Yeah, I never saw the need either but I hear so many moms say it's a lifesaver. Maybe it's one of those things you don't know you're missing if you never have one.

I don't own one and I don't think I'll ever get one. I don't see the need either.

I never owned either a rocking chair or a glider because I never really saw the need. But after visiting my best friend after her 2nd baby born and seeing how much she relied on her glider, now I'm kind of contemplating getting one for baby #2.

Did you use a glider or rocking chair? If so, which one do you have? I'm looking for something not that expensive. Thanks!
