I think the stand would help though. I don't like it. Every kid who has played with it ends up bouncing off and hurting themselves. I keep it stored in the extra bathtub so that the kids can't get it on their own. Also not very stable and tips back easily for us. Finally at closer to age 3 it is not such a hazard! She loves being bounced on it, but at almost 15 months she still isn't quite big enough to get on by herself (but boy, does she try!). She can bounce herself for about 10 seconds before she falls off because her feet don't reach the floor. So, I think she'll love it even more once she's a little bigger. He's never bounced off it, but he slid off a few times, there's a learning curve for getting on and off!
