Thanks for the responses.
@shootingstar he used to be in a Merlin suit and slept great but now rolls in it. So that's out. :bummed:

I just hate letting him scream for a long time. I need to grow thicker mommy skin maybe.

It will stop! Help him practice his rolling, but I bet it won't last more than a few more days.

Nope, they just have to figure it out. It usually doesn't last that long. My son used to just roll and screech, roll and screech, and then eventually fall asleep. For a while, he wouldn't sleep on his stomach per se, but more like kneeling with his butt up in the air and his face to the side. Eventually he moved towards preferring sleeping on his side. Just leave him alone and let him work it out. I think it gets them to figure out a comfortable position faster.

It's probably just a phase, but it'll feel like it lasts forever. I'd try to increase tummy time and encourage figuring out how to roll over. Then he can rescue himself. You could also try a Merlin suit, which will make it difficult for him to roll, but it might be short lived if he figures out how to roll just the one way in the suit.

Hello! Hopefully this makes sense...

My LO is 5mo and has been rolling over both ways for about a month. He has been a great napper and we have almost mastered the putting down "sleepy but awake"

However, this has all gone to h*** now. As soon as I place him in his crib he rolls over and hates it. It's like his body won't let him be on his back. He has always disliked tummy time and just screams while on his stomach. I'll go in and roll him over to his back but 5 min later he rolls over and starts screaming again. I don't think he would ever sleep on his stomach but seems to have a huge problem staying on his back. Is there anything I can do to prevent him from rolling over? Help!!
