@rattles: Same here!

As soon as I would put my son on his belly for tummy time, he would flip over. I could put him on his belly 20 times in a row, and it would be a matter of seconds until he was on his back.

Now he's the opposite, and every time I put him on his back, he wants to be on his belly. He likes exploring, so he wants to be able to look around.

Belly to back for both my big girls but this little one has been doing back to belly for a few days now. She likes tummy time.

Tummy to back for both. They didn't love tummy time, so they found a way to fix that themselves :silly:

@travellingbee: Totally agree! She hated it the couple of times I gave in to worrying and tried it, so I'm really glad I didn't try to force it. She's changing by the minute, learning new skills. If she's not the first of her peers to do something, who cares? She'll get there when she's ready. Right now she's working on scooting around via backbends. Looks spectacularly uncomfortable, and inefficient, but she loves it! Weirdo baby. 😄

@Torchwood: just goes to show you that tummy time isn't necessary. They'll get it eventually!

She did back to belly WAY sooner, but we didn't do any tummy time. Like, I was starting to worry she took so long to do belly to back. She's now rolling all over the place (she may never crawl she's so good at rolling), so I clearly had nothing to worry about!

Which way did your LOs go first? All the books say they do belly to back first but not mine! DS1 did back to belly first because he was refluxy and couldn't do tummy time without puking so we didn't do it much. So far it looks as though this one will too ( he also hates TT). Today at 9 weeks, he has started rolling onto his side from his back.
