@gilmoregirl: Same here. It's like, 3-5 days of crap sleep, and then a few weeks of moderately crap sleep, followed by 3-5 nights of STTN ... As soon as I get used to it, she wakes up a ton. :( Teething and sleep regression suck so bad!!

@littlejoy: does your LO do this often? We usually have it for a few nights off and on for a few weeks and then he starts to sleep better again. I'm banking on there eventually being a time when he just regularly sleeps well but that might just be a dream haha.

@littlejoy: We actually have a double bed in the nursery because it used to be our guest room, but I don't sleep in there. I will just lie down and doze a little until I can get the baby back to sleep. It just feels somewhat less awful than rocking him for hours or getting up for real in the MOTN. It can be really rough though.

@gilmoregirl: This is the situation at our house too. It's so hard!!! Last night, our LO was wide awake from 10:30-3:00.

Are you sleeping in there? Or just staying til babe falls asleep?

My kid appears to be super sensitive to gross motor developments because every time he learns something new, he goes through a ridiculous phase of partying at night for hours at a time.

Honestly, I've gotten in the habit recently of putting him in the crib and letting him practice his tricks while I lie next to the crib with a blanket and pillows. He usually is pretty calm as long as he can see me, and when he starts fussing he is usually ready to go back to sleep.

I'd give him a bit of time to figure it out himself. Fiona has gotten super into rolling and getting up on all 4s rocking and she can't resist doing it before every nap and bed time. Lately she'll roll around for upwards of 20 minutes before falling asleep sometimes! MOTN usually she wakes up and cries and I give it 5 min before I go in there for a check. at least half, if not more, of the time she will fall back asleep within the 5 min (time it, it feels like much longer MOTN). Also if losing his paci while rolling/scooting is an issue, I highly recommend paci plushies. We put 1 regular paci (in her mouth when she goes down) in + 2 paci plushes on opposite sides of the crib. Makes it way easier for her to find one and get it in her mouth when she is tired MOTN.

Ugh. This is my 7 month old ATM. She wakes up crawling and screaming about it. I'm glad to know it's not just us.

Cosleeping helps a little but mostly just bc it forces DH to take turns soothing her.

I asked this the other day! LO is still doing it but it has gotten a little better each night. I try to give her as much time on her play mat to practice her new skill during the day. Sorry, I know it totally sucks, hang in there!

P.S. We also started sleep training today, so not getting much sleep over here either.

Someone just asked about this the other day :)

J's always been an 'active' sleeper but it would get worst with every new milestone - pushing up, standing up, crawling, walking, etc.
Hope you get some sleep!

T is 10 months old and he's just now starting to get really mobile. Not crawling but rolling and scooting. For the last two weeks he's been scooting and rolling in his sleep, causing him to wake up every 3 hours and resist us rocking him back to sleep because he won't lay still in our arms.

Any suggestions? I'm exhausted.
