@photojane: thanks for getting back to me! Glad everything is resolved for you and your LO. We are on day 4 and she seems SO much better except for her appetite. Pretty sure she's lived off of breast milk, cheese, Cheerios and blueberries for the last 3 days.

@Ocean girl: it spiked to 102, but was around 100 for most of the 2-3 days she had a fever. Definitely not as high as when she had an ear infection. I think Sadie just had a mild case, hence the more mild rash. That rash looks pretty mild too. Some kids are covered and it's awful.

Sadie's much better! 2 or 3 days after the rash appeared she was completely back to normal. Hopefully now that the rash has appeared, your sweet girl will be feeling better soon.

@photojane: quick question - how high was your LO's fever? DD had 3 days of low-grade fever and now has a rash almost identical to the belly pick you posted. I'm also thinking Roseola but when I've looked it up, Dr Google tells me the fever is usually quite high.
Hope your LO is feeling better.
Oh, and here's a pic of what the rash looks like on her back.

@swurlygurl: the red spot is still there, but she doesn't seem bothered by it. It's actually completely flat except for a bump in the middle, so I don't think it's eczema. She has her 18m appointment next week, so if he doesn't get worse before then, I'll ask then.

@oliviaoblivia: rash is still there, but it's mild! She had really rough morning, but after a 4 hour nap, I think she's on the upswing! So ready to be done with this. The fussiness has been out of control.

@photojane: K just was diagnosed with roseola today! Her belly/chest looks exactly like that...but not the other mark on her arm. We were about 3 days of fever, a day off, then the rash today.

@Ginabean3: @tinyperson: @oliviaoblivia: @SleepyMonkey: She used to have a small eczema patch on her shoulder, but it's been gone for a few months. Maybe this is just a new patch of eczema, and unrelated to the roseola?

That looks like something I had once. My dermatologist told me it appears after you've been sick. I had a large spot too, which she said was the origin. Let me see if I can remember the name of it.

ETA: here is what I had http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/pityriasis-rosea/basics/definition/con-20028446

Anyone's LO had roseola? Sadie had a fever Thursday-Saturday. No fever yesterday or today. No other symptoms. When putting on her PJ's tonight I realized she has a rash on her tummy/chest and back, and a smaller round rash bright red rash on her arm.

Do these pictures look like roseola to you? If it is, I know there's nothing to be done at this point. But, she still seems miserable - very clingy and cranky. Does it hurt her? If your LO had it, how long until back to normal?

If it doesn't look like roseola to you, what could it be?
