We (dh) butchered two of our roosters and I cooked them, but they weren't the greatest because they were scrawny egg birds. DH has a good friend who is a cooker like us and a hunter. He swears by this brand so DH was bugging me to buy one for ages. When he saw one at Marshalls he literally stalked it for months until it went down to $35.<br /> Anyway, I have no comparison but we are very happy with ours. I don't have the unit anymore but I think it's the the exact same one. It really does a beautiful job with a Rotisserie chicken. Especially because you will have your own chickens to cook I think it's a good investment!<br /> We love doing either a rub or injecting the chicken. Either way they always come out with crispy skin but moist and juicy. The cooking times on the Rotisserie are dead on. </p> <p>Try looking on eBay?
