Thanks for all the responses. I woke up and the pain is totally gone now. I did some hip hiker exercises standing against a wall, and then I also got on my hands and knees with my butt in the air and with my head down and that really helped ease the pain.
From now on I will try to be more careful with my movements, since this was caused by me getting up too fast.

I have had at since about 18 weeks, but mine is only in my left lower back. It happens every time I get up whether I am sitting straight up in a chair or relaxing or laying down. I did get a snoogle which helps getting up from bed and reduces the pressure and pain. I end up carting that thing around my house with me.

I only had the pain occur once, and it happened right before bedtime. It was excruciatingly painful, and it felt more like a throbbing pain that just wouldn't go away. I had the most difficult sleep that night, and the feeling was still there the next morning but not as intense. I think it gradually went away by the afternoon the following day. Thank goodness for Google or else I may have freaked out and went to the ER.

I'm almost at 17 weeks, and the pain is pretty constant. There are sharp pains when I move quickly to a different position, get up, sit down, etc. The sharp pain part lasts a few seconds, then shifts to a dull pain. basically 24/7 there is dull pain - it never really seems to go away completely. I saw my doctor to make sure everything was ok, and checked out fine.

Wish I had more of an answer, hope this helps!

Mine was in the early 20's in weeks, it lasted me a weekend that I could hardly move around- until I started using a body pillow when sleeping and laying down, that thing saved me! Getting up and getting out of bed was the hardest. It ranged from sharp to dull in pain, but always check with your doctor to make sure everything is ok.

For those of you who have experienced round ligament pain, how long does the pain last typically?
Today i was seated on the sofa and tried to get up really quickly and felt a short sharp pain in the side of my lower belly and then it faded away into a dull ache and then disappeared. But then later I bent down to pick something off the floor and then felt it again when I got up in the almost the same spot. I do plan to call my doctor tomorrow if it persists. Does this sound like the round ligament pain that you have? Just to add I'm 24 weeks by the way
