It's a little gross, but not a huge deal! She'll poop them out on the de-wormer, and it will look like she's passing bits of spaghetti. Our dog has had them twice, once as a puppy, and once last year. She'll be fine.

Have fun bringing her home!

Yes, very common. Just don't let your big dog eat the puppy's poop! It's standard to deworm puppies just for this reason. You can get the dewormer through your vet, but it's cheaper at places like a tractor supply store. Your vet will probably want a follow up fecal sample.

So we are adopting an 8 week old puppy tomorrow. We met her yesterday and she went to the vet today. She is with her 7 siblings at a rescue right now. Rescue just called and said all are healthy except for round worm. Apparently they all have it. Dr google tells me that it is very common in puppies, that they get meds today. ( which she said she is giving all meds in the morning ) and then again in 2 weeks.
I asked about if it is safe with my other dog and she was not sure but the vet said that the other dogs she has in her house are safe.
Anyone have experience?!? Help!?!
