I went by the pharmacy and got the strips but will mention it next time. I dont have an real UTI symptoms other than feeling a lot of pressure on bladder sometimes which could just be the baby sitting on my bladder... You pee in a cup, dunk the strip, and compare colors. Most clinics check for UTI first appointment only and then a follow up if you did have a UTI. The other routine urine test (that not all clinics do now BTW - my practice has stopped going this) just looks for protein and glucose. Yeah I pee in a cup each time I go. I know they check for protein in the urine and i think sugar but didnt know if thats connected to UTIs in anyway. I just had an appointment last week and had my routine pee in a cup test so I assume all is well. The first one I had a UTI, and the test did find it. I'm curious about this as I have a lot more bladder pressure now. I've never had a UTI and I understand during pregnancy you can have them and have no symptoms so thats why I was wondering </p>
