@skibobrown: The size/height is why we decided against it. I didn't feel like I would be safe driving that thing :)

@ginger333 Can you find one used? I was never able to find a used double BOB, but maybe you can find a used single? I know that puts it a little more manageable for price.

I bought mine from albeebaby.com. It was the cheapest I could find with no sales tax and no shipping, so maybe if you found a site like this?

I have the bob revolution se!

I just started running with it in the last month or so, and LOVE it. I have run on gravel track, paved path, paved road, and some sidewalk! I'm 5'9'' and find it the perfect height and find it super light!

I did one of my first runs with it (a long road, 4km one way, 4km back) and did half the run with the wheel swiveling, the 2nd half with the wheel fixed. When walking with it I always have it swiveling and found it hard to imagine having that front wheel locked. Personally, the difference with it locked straight was unreal!!! I found not only for ease of steering (even in my neighbourhood with turns, I just lift the front end and usually slow for corners anyways) but it also reallllly helped my form. I will never run with it swiveling ever again, I find it so much harder now when I do either forget to lock it straight or think for a moment locking it doesn't matter, lol.

My SIL has it too and never runs with the wheel locked, so I think it's personal, so if anything, give yourself the option of locking or swiveling whatever stroller you choose :)

I have the BOB Revolution and it's awesome. It can be swivel wheel or fixed by rotating a lever. It has great shock absorption. It's very maneuverable when in the swivel position. I'm very happy with it. Initially I bought a schwinn, but it just seemed...cheap. I returned it and got the BOB instead.

We have a Joovy Zoom. Like @Weagle said, it's much cheaper and has most of the same features as the BOB. Actually, more of the add-ons come for free with the Joovy Zoom that you have to pay for with the BOB, so I'm a big fan. My only complaint about the Joovy is that it's a pretty big jogging stroller, so if you're really short, you might not like it.

We went with the BOB, but the Joovy Zoom 360 was our #2 choice. It's quite a bit cheaper, but still really nice!

I run with LO in a BOB and its fantastic both on a paved path and off road! Its not light, but it's also not terribly heavy. I'm petite and not especially strong and I have no trouble hauling it up and into and out of my SUV.

I ordered the BOB cup holder to go with, and its definitely useful to have a cupholder on there. I don't know that you need the official "BOB" one; another (less expensive) might fit, I'm not sure.

I use an ipod that I just clip onto my arm and that works great so I haven't had any need to purchase a specific holder for it.

The BOB does come with a little zippered pouch that's big enough for keys, cc, phone, sunglasses, etc. and keeps them secure while you run. There is also the elastic "basket" that holds extra water, sweater, etc.

@mamabehr - To run with the Schwinn, I had to lock the front wheel or it would do what it did for your friend, shake and be useless ...
I think a BOB is out of my price range for a second stroller ... they have gotten such good reviews though. Wish I had thought about running when I bought my first stroller!

BOB is fantastic! I highly recommend a swivel wheel. I can't imagine running with a fixed one. I was going to buy a double Schwinn and I read some reviews where the whole stroller toppled over on the kids! So, I decided to spend the extra money on the BOB and love it!! My friend had a single Schwinn (I think) and if she started going fast than the front wheel started to shake and pull to one side. She ended up getting a BOB.
In terms of the other stuff (hand break, space for Ipod, light weight) I can't recommend it because mine doesn't have it. The BOB has a place to put my phone and keys, but it isn't specifically designed for it. It is also heavy (I think it is 40 lbs ish) but it doesn't feel heavy when I push it.

Sorry for the rambling, hope this helps!

I'm not running with lo yet, but everyone says the BOB is the best. Im planning to get a used one soon. I'm pretty sure a fixed wheel is better for stability and control too.

I want to go out running with my baby, so I'm going to need a jogging stroller. I had a Schwinn with my first and it was okay, it did the job, it wasn't super awesome though.
I'm looking for recommendations ... I have no idea what I want - fixed wheel vs. swivel?, light weight?, a thingie to hold my iPod/phone?, hand brake? Runners, please tell me what I need (and what I don't)!
Thanks!
