I can remember running before I knew I was PG and I had the hardest time cranking out an easy 3. I stopped running after I found out I was PG per dr. Can't wait to get back to it!!!!

I wasn't a runner, but was doing boot camp and other high impact classes in my first trimester. Some days I was ok, and others I could barely manage much of anything. I'm glad you're not putting any pressure on yourself. I kept up my exercise as long as I could but at 33 weeks, I'm pretty much done. I don't want to be, but it takes all my energy to get through the work day at this point.

Good to know it's not just me. I expected my pace to slow down eventually. I just didn't realize it would happen so soon.My usual comfortable pace is not so comfortable anymore. Earlier in the year I signed up for a half marathon that I was hoping to PR. It is in two weeks so it doesn't look like that is happening. I'll take it easy, enjoy the race and people watch.

WOW! I was a runner before I had LO. I definitely slowed down during my first trimester. Quit running altogether because I had bleeding during my pregnancy. :T

@WALLAROO: YES I did. I ended up not running as much, and switching to other workouts. 3 days before delivery, I was able to do a run/walk interval at EXTREMELY slow speed (like my running speed was slower than my usual walking speed), but I could still do it.

Oh yes, almost right away! I typically would run 3 miles 5 days a week....and by even 6 weeks I had to slow way down. I had to stop running around 20 weeks because it was too uncomfortable (lots of pressure down low). Good for you for staying active!

For the runners out there, did you notice your pace slow down significantly in your first tri even during the earlier weeks? I went out for an 11 mile run and had to slow way down so I wasn't huffing and puffing. I'm only 5w4d and it seems too early for that.
