@Beehive: LOL This is my third LO but because I spaced them out so far (4 and 6 years) I've forgotten a lot.
I remember random fevers with the other two and I swore the runny nose/ cold like symptoms were present with the other ones too. And the Pedi said she thought the top teeth would be coming before the bottom ones.

@Crisark: I'm definitely not an expert at all, that's just what happened when my LO got his top two teeth! He never had a fever though, just the runny nose. And actually he has an ear infection now, so maybe not everything is teething... oh well!

@littlecasita1122: @Beehive: Omg this 'cold like' crap is linked to my suspected teething??????
Anna had a fever sat into Sunday, nothing Monday but then developed runny nose and some congestion yesterday and hasn't slept worth a crap. I swear she's teething. 7 1/2 months and no teeth yet.
I'm buying a nosefrida, boogie wipes and baby vicks on my lunch break because we have to sleep lol

DS only tolerates the nosefrida after baths, but doesn't mind the bulb any other time. We also use boogie wipes.

Anyone else find the boogie wipe sheets massive?! I had DH cut them in half for us bc using a whole sheet is so wasteful since we don't actually use the entire sheet!!

Nosefrida, boogie wipes, and baths. During one of LO's bath recently, he managed to clean his nose better than I have lately. He got two boogers out during the bath alone.

We're dealing with a constant runny nose over here too! While I love getting all of the gunk out with the NoseFrida (which he hates!), I find his nose runs way more right after snot sucking.

I just use really soft toilet paper to constantly wipe his nose. Every time I have to wipe, I tell him what I'm doing and he tolerates it pretty well. My son actually dislikes it more when I'm using a wet wipe rather than plain toilet paper.

nosefrida and boogie wipes for us too. not much you can do to stop it, although i've found when they're outside it tends to run less!

@Beehive: Oh I sure hope it isn't teething! He already has 16, and we're supposed to be in the clear for a while (and his pedi didn't see/feel any last week). He's had a cold for two weeks, and has swung between being congested and having a really runny nose...this is just a really really runny day, apparently.

Sounds like teething. We have the same thing right now... we just boogie wipe and use the saline spray (not sure if that helps, but it doesn't hurt, so why not). We nose frieda only when necessary since he haaaaaaaates it. Last time the faucet stopped as soon as his top teeth came through.

Ugh my LO's runny nose finally went away after 2 1/2 weeks of teething. Only thing that somewhat helped was to use a very soft burp cloth instead of tissues to wipe and to re-apply aquaphor on his cheeks and under his nose a few times each day.

The only thing that helps is the nose frida! I also love boogie wipes, because they irritate his skin the least. Also, our pedi told us to put neosporin under his nose bc the constant wiping can lead to broken skin/skin infection. Fun stuff!

Is there anything I can do to stop this? It's been running like a faucet today. Constantly...if I don't rub it off it will keep coming and cover his entire lower face in nose-slime.

He won't tolerate the bulb at all (I still try, but it's a lot of screaming and thrashing). He's the opposite of congested, so I'm not sure how well saline spray/steam will help (it hasn't so far). Is there a remedy I'm not thinking of? It's really a ridiculous amount of nose-slime, and he doesn't understand "blow" (and to be honest I'm not sure how much that would help...) Are we just going to have to deal with it until he's over this?
