Dd had the same symptom a couple weeks ago and got her first (mild) cold. Even though it was mild (I got it too and her symptoms seemed mild.) she did not react well.. Ugh. Trouble getting to sleep but she did sleep ok otherwise, THANKFULLY! I hope your ds is better soon!

I'm a huge fan of eucalyptus in DD's bath...And then a few drops on a face cloth and just laid out on her dresser to keep her room nice and menthol-y.

DD has had that for 3 weeks now. I've taken her to the doctor twice and he confirmed it's allergies for her (drainage is causing the cough). We're giving her Zicam at night and it has made a big difference. Hope that's what it is for your LO :-(

I always do steam sits in the bathroom when P starts getting a runny nose. I've been meaning to make some homemade "vicks" pucks but haven't yet so I just put a few (5-10) drops of peppermint oil & eucalyptus oil on the tub floor (or on a wet wash cloth over the spout). I'll also make a vicks rub blend using coconut oil & the oils and if she's really congested I'll put a single drop of either (usually eucalyptus) in the corner of her bed when I lay her down.

For coughs I'll add lavender to the mix (it's a natural expectorant) and have even put it in the scentsy warmer (in some water or carrier oil) for aromatherapy if she's coughing at night.

Hope both you & the lo feel better soon!

Aw, poor A! My A and I are just getting over colds that we picked up in England. She was really upset during her bath for two nights, super clingy and incredibly snotty but all in all much more cheerful and pleasant to be around than I was, lol. Advil on a night helped her. Hope you guys feel better soon

i'm still getting over my first head cold since becoming a mama last fll. UGH WORST EVER.

I thought we were ok with ds, but this morning he woke up with a runny nose and while he is eating/playing like normal, wasreally upset after his first nap (and he always wakes up happy!) :(

I can hear the congestion building up or him, buthe doesn't have fever. Exactly what I had...and now I have a cough thatcame with it overnight.

HELP! (ds is 9 mnths)
