My dd has her first runny/stuffy nose now too :( Hope it doesn't last too long! Her daddy came home sick from work last night and was trying to keep his distance from her but last night she woke up crying because she couldn't breathe. Sucks that something so minor as a stuffy nose can cause babies such stress since they can't blow their noses! What you're already doing is what I was told to do, so keep it up and fingers crossed!

4 days is the longest, what I have to watch out for is the ear infection that comes later, because all that fluid drained into the ears. We have so had eye infections when there's a lot if face rubbing, so clean the hands!

I have also tried the baby Vicks but that didn't mAke a difference in length of the cold. On the immunity building, I don't think it matters much, this years cold isn't the same as last years version, but it does get easier on us moms as they get older.

Aww - poor baby! Our colds have usually lasted 3-4 days... Then maybe some light runny nose for a few more days. Last cold we actually gave LO some warm broth and he loved it! Steamy baths too. For a cough we do some Matys all natural rub on his feet with socks - seems to help!

It's not even full on winter here in MI and DS has come down with his second cold. :(

I'm not too worried because he hasn't had much of a fever and I'd rather he build immunity while younger than in school years later (we're a grandmacare family)... anyway, is there anything else I can do?

We've been nose-frieda'ing, boogie wiping, humdifying and he's been drinking/eating like normal for the most part.

How long do runny noses/colds last?
