My ob/gyn said I'll be okay to take Zyrtec throughout pregnancy and I looked online and saw that Benadryl was safe too.

@mrsjyw: @septca: ok, thanks ladies! just wanted to double check. I remember reading online that it wasnt good to take prior to ovulation as it can dry up CM, but couldnt find any info for after ovulation.

I can't think of why it wouldn't be okay... any potential baby won't share your blood for several more weeks, and the reason people stay away from Advil is that it can thin your lining. I think Benadryl would be fine.

I'm taking alavert (claritin) when I need it for my fall allergies even though we're TTC. Dr 'ok'ed and read online that Benadryl, Claritin are ok for pregnancy and/or TTC.

Is it safe to take any antihistamines after ovulation? I'm only 1 day post ovulation, but don't want to hurt my chances....but my nose is a running mess! and my eyes are watering like crazy, ugh.
