Nope - I always wake up to him stirring on the video monitor! He's usually awake by 6:45AM. If he slept in til 7:30, I would consider getting up at 7am to shower and get ready first, but right now I wait to do that until his first nap at 9:30am. I'm hoping he will sleep in later once we move to 1 nap during the day.

Nope! He always wakes me. Then again, I could probably sleep for 2 days straight at this point.

@winniebee: I hope you get some sleep in days soon! I know you've been struggling with early wake ups for awhile :-(

I usually wake up around 5:45 so I can spend a few minutes eating breakfast with DH before he gets ready for work. I would love to sleep in until the babies wake up, but I wake up as soon as he starts getting ready, so I might as well see him before he leaves for the day.
LO's wake up times are still pretty erratic; they either wake up when they hear him get in the shower (usually 6:20ish), or they sleep through it and are up between 7-7:30. I like the 7-7:30 days! It also depends on whether we have to feed at 4:30-5am, (which we have since the four month sleep regression), or whether they can make it through the night.

@winniebee: Her sleeping this well at night is a total game changer... I'm totally back on board with TTC pretty soon now. It's amazing what a bit of good sleep will do to a person :)

@Honeybee: I have heard a lot of babies sleep more hours in the day when they go to 1 nap!

@winniebee: it was the most astounding thing. We moved him to one nap a day and the first week was kind of all over the place. The scond week, he magically started sleeping through the night for 12-13 hours, and he's taking a 2.5-3 hour nap during the day. He sleeps better now than he did as a newborn! Seriously, it blew my mind!

I would wake up with my husband, and our son would wake up no more than 15 minutes later, lol. It's as if he knew we were awake!

@Weagle: That's awesome! My son still only sleeps 10/10.5 hours overnight. Last night 7:15-5:35. On occasion, he will go back to sleep for another hour. Then takes usually 2.5 hours worth of naps during the day. I can't wait for the day until I have the option to get up before him!

@winniebee: LO has been straddling the 1-2 nap line for a while, which is when this really started. She doesn't always take great naps, but her nighttime sleep is amazing! Usually 11.5-13 hours!

Even though LO is a pretty good sleeper at 2 months, I know that could change any minute so I'm still in sleep hoarding mode. Yesterday we slept until after 9! I was used to sleeping as long as I wanted before baby so that's been a huge adjustment for me. If she keeps on this sleep schedule I should really start getting up before her to shower and get dressed. I'm cleared to go back to the gym next week so maybe that'll be my motivation!

@Honeybee: Wow, glad your son is sleeping in now! Do you think it's because of the 1 nap transition? My son is still up at 5:30/6 on MOST days.

I'm usually up around 5:30; DH wakes me before he leaves for work. DD is up at 6:15 or later and DS usually sleeps until 7 or 7:30. I shower, get dressed, get ready, and then have a cup of coffee on the couch when DD gets up.

@Weagle: I totally love sleep too! But I know that I'll be more relaxed overall if I get up before her to exercise, shower, and eat. It's hard to do those things with her awake (well, exercise is pretty much impossible).

@hilsy85: When LO's sleep was erratic, I totally slept until she woke up. I couldn't fathom waking up before her when I didn't know when she'd wake up and also when she was still waking up a couple of times a night.

I always wake up before her. I'm up by 7, if not earlier. LO sleeps until 8 at the earliest, sometimes a little after 9!

I usually just go online, put my pictures on the computer, and just have some "me" time to relax. It's also nice because I get bad migraines and this gives me a chance to take meds and wait for them to kick in before having to chase after LO, so if that happens I just lay down and watch tv.

@BelugaBean: I know I would really enjoy the time to myself. She doesn't wake up during the night anymore, so it's not like I need the extra sleep. I do love sleep, but I'm not a teenager anymore :)

@hilsy85: No shame! I wouldn't even be asking this if LO didn't have consistent sleep with no wake-ups. She is 11 months old, but I didn't consider waking before her until very recently.

Nope. I'm still at the point where I am hoarding every last second of sleep I can get! His sleep is also still erratic though--usually he's up at 6:30, but yesterday he slept til 7:40.

I've started to. She gets up around 8 or so everyday (anywhere between 7:30-8:30). I get up at 5:50 to exercise, shower, eat breakfast, and take the dog out. I then have a little time to myself before she gets up which is nice.

Until recently, LO was waking up at 6:30-7 every morning. Now, she's usually sleeping until 7:30-8, so I think I definitely need to start waking up before her. What do you do in the mornings?
