He definitely gets to indulge in better lunch outtings than I do with a 13 month old. Plus, I don't ever take our daughter anywhere that I know he would want to go. I save all of her "firsts" for a time when we can go as a family. I try to save the really big things for the weekend, so he can go, too, but I know he wishes he could take the kids to the park more often, or go to the library during story time. He always says he wishes he could be home. He does encourage us to do fun things though and we do go on outings almost every day. But then he sees that some days are really difficult with naps, crankiness, and night wakings so knows it's not all roses. It is probably because he knows I'm not completely sold on the SAHM lifestyle. He just wants to be there when she does it! Sometimes we'll go to his favorite restaurant for breakfast if there's family in town, and we are probably going to get an annual pass to the aquarium, things like that. I figure I have to do all the hard work with her during the day, I don't feel bad about getting to have fun too! </p>
