Like a lot of commenters, both of our families are far away, so it isn't the easiest. Plus, my husband very rarely gets home before 8:30 at night. However, I am blessed with wonderful friends who will come and sit with LO for a couple of hours if I want to run out and do some errands. Usually it's after LO has gone to bed, but that's just the way it is.</p> <p>None of my friends here have kids and they have kind of learned how to look after a baby through observing LO. So it isn't ideal, but I trust my friends. Plus, I am never far away and I can easily make it home should something happen. Honestly, I'm just not prepared to never leave the house without my baby. My mom was over for several weeks after DD arrived so we got to go out on a few date nights, but other than that, I'm hardly ever away from her. </p> <p>Now that I'm thinking about it....with the exception of the three date nights mentioned above, and a hair appt when DD was 10 days old, I haven't been away from her at all.
