@daniellemybelle: forgot the morning routine with school! yeah, lo usually comes and cuddles or we go get breakfast instead of me pulling her out of bed for waffles at the table, reminding her every five minutes to pick up the pace. 😋

We try and keep a nap around midday - but if it's later because we are out and about, then that's ok. LO (21 months) is pretty go-with-the-flow so it's worth getting out for family excursions on the weekend. Dinner, bath & Bedtime is usually the same but that's because we have zero social life - haha.

We mostly stick to our routine but sometimes her nap is a little later before we are out and about. The biggest difference is that I will let her eat breakfast in bed with me and watch TV so I can lay around. :) During the week we get up and eat breakfast at the table, and I try not to turn on the TV until after her nap time.

Yes! But the kids are in school on the week days (except for my youngest) so weekends are just a lot slower. We usually do more family outings and laundry for the week.

LO is only 7mo, but I try to keep the routine the same if I can. Saturdays are usually fine, but Sundays we go to church and we just accept that it's totally gonna mess him up. His second nap is either super short in the sling or he misses it completely!

We try to keep meals and sleep times the same. Weekends we go out to dinner so usually I bring her pajamas and brush her teeth before we head home and skip the bath.

I try to keep our schedule the same, but it all depends on what we are planning for the weekend-like pumpkin picking or apple picking or what have you.

Oh, gosh, I was a prisoner in those early years...I kept everything the same no matter what the day of the week or the time of year. If I didn't, my son just couldn't handle it. I wish I had the kind of child that can deviate from a schedule, but he couldn't then and still can't.

It's different b/c we try to do a lot of activities as a family which means naps don't always happen and I'm ok with that.

The days are different but generally j do try to keep meals and nap/ bed time roughly the same. I will be flexible any day that I need to but it's easiest on everyone if we stick as close as we can. She's 2.

The only routine we really try to stick to is dinner/bath/bed by 7:30 at the latest. Once lo2 gets overtired it's just pure absolute hell trying to get him settled enough to sleep so no way am I messing with that!

ETA: just noticed this was for Sahm - woops.

She's still itty, so we don't have a true routine anyway, but it definitely goes out the window on weekends. For now she doesn't mind, but if she starts seeming really out of sorts from it we'll make more of an effort to keep things familiar for her.

Weekend routine is often different. LO is only 17 mos so I try to keep his nap at a similar time to the rest of the week, but he is sometimes up later or eats on a different schedule if we go somewhere. He's pretty easy going so it works.

do you stick to your daily routines (feeding, nap, bed) over the weekends, specifically the timing of everything?

i feel i tend to let a lot slide over the weekends with my 5yo. bedtime is later, she sort of snacks all day before dinner. does it sound like i'm just asking for trouble?
