@scg00387: @Weagle: @katiew92081: @Honeybee: @sarac: Thank you, ladies! LO is napping and I'm still very much under the weather, but I took all of your suggestions, and we're surviving. ;)

In case anyone else finds themselves in this situation, here's what we did: We had a mini-DVD marathon while I conked out on the bed because I just couldn't move anymore, I helped LO set up the train set and then nursed cups of tea on the couch (while making train noises occasionally), I blew bubbles for LO on the porch (minimal effort!), we had a super long bath, and we dragged ourselves to a park I knew would be mostly deserted (to avoid sharing germs!). And I hoped LO doesn't get it! :)

Now for a nap...

I put on the tv and hope it holds her interest, for the most part. It usually doesn't. If I'm terribly sick, my husband stays home.

I take them somewhere they can run around without too much supervision (the park, the baby gym, McDonald's Playplace, etc...). They get to burn off some energy, and I don't have to be directly involved every minute.

Well, ds is 5, so it's pretty easy. He's pretty self sufficient. I can usually let him use the kindle or computer for a while and he's good. he's pretty understanding of stuff like that...he's been great through my pregnancy.

Not sure what I'll do after dd is born. Probably get dh to come home or get my mom to come over to entertain the kids. Or, suffer until ds gets home from school so that he can assist (as much as a 5 year old can!)

I wasn't sick much with ds, cause he wasn't in school. it's more of a reality this time around, I think, lol.

Hope you feel better!

Eek! LO is only 10 months, but I definitely used Baby Einstein the last time I was sick. If it's bad I make DH come home. If it's not, I just grin and bear it and nap when she does. It's awful, though.

Eep hope you feel better soon! I'm scared for my first illness :( all I can suggest is playing fetch.... Haha just kidding (kind of). Maybe a toy hunt if you hide them and LO seeks?

...but LO is not? I'm contemplating breaking out every toddler-friendly DVD we own and playing them one after another on my computer. I feel lousy and my throat is totally scratchy, so reading books is pure torture! DH had to go into work. How do I get my 2yo enough running around time (a must lest we both go completely nuts?). SOS!
